How to Take Advantage of Free Online Classifieds

Back in the old days, classifieds were jammed together at the back of your local classifieds. They cost money, you didn't have very much space to say what you needed to say, and when you read them your fingers got all smudgy. Well, not any more my friends.
If you haven't heard of Craigslist or Kijiji, you need to get on the internet more, because these free online classifieds are endlessly useful.
Because I'm a college student, I'm going to give some examples of how an average college student can earn a few bucks using Craigslist or Kijiji, as well as your University's own online classifieds, which are becoming more and more popular every year.
Say you're just finishing your first year away at school, and you're thinking of moving out of residence and into a house or apartment with your friends off-campus. Well, the first thing you're bound to realize is that you're going to need some things like furniture, a bed, some cooking appliances and dishes. It's expensive to get this stuff from home if you attend a school that's far away, so by far the easiest way to get it on the cheap is to buy them used from students who are graduating, moving away, and don't want to bother bringing them along. When I was in this exact situation, I bought a great mattress and bed frame for $30, and the sellers even threw in a free TV!
Also, if you're lucky enough to have a car with you at school, there are endless possibilities. You can offer rides to the airport at Thanksgiving, or you can offer to help people move at the end or start of the year.
Classifieds can also be a great way to make money in the summer. Have you ever tried offering a simple lawn-care of painting service in your neighborhood? You can make tons!
So, go forth my disciples, and take full advantage of classified ads.
